Day 1: Marrakech – Essaouira
Departure from your hotel or riad in Marrakech towards Essaouira to discover this charming port city. The medina's fortifications house French, Portuguese, and Berber architecture. The old town or medina consists of white houses with many artisans, charming cafes, and beautiful quiet squares. Enjoy fresh fish and have a free day for a seaside walk, swimming, or shopping in the medina's beautiful alleys. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day 2: Essaouira – Sidi Ifni
Heading towards Agadir, passing through beautiful coastal villages with lovely beaches such as Sidi Kaouki or Taghazoute. A brief stop in the city of Agadir and continuing south through the Massa Nature Park. Follow the coast and head up to Tiznit, known for its jewelry-making. Continue to the beaches of Mirleft and overnight in an inn in Sidi Ifni.
Day 3: Sidi Ifni – Tafraoute
Head towards the Anti-Atlas and visit the towns of Gulmime and Tafraoute. This region is known for its almond trees, argan oil, and babouches. Nestled in a charming valley, Ameln offers beautiful trails for a relaxing walk near Tafraoute. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day 4: Tafraoute – Taroudant
Drive through the Ammelne Valley and visit the picturesque village of Tioulit, known for its painted stones. Continue through the Aït Mansour Valley and the Ait Mensour oasis. Visit the ancient kasbah of Tizourgane. Arrive in Taroudant, a charming city often referred to as "Little Marrakech." Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day 5: Taroudant – Ouarzazate
Drive through the Atlas Mountains over the Tizi n'Test Pass, one of the most spectacular passes in Morocco. Visit the Tinmal Mosque. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Sahara" and famous for its film studios and the Kasbah Taourirt. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day 6: Ouarzazate – Chegaga
Drive to the Chegaga desert via Zagora and M'hamid. Enjoy a camel ride in the Chegaga dunes and a traditional Berber dinner under the stars. Overnight in a desert camp.
Day 7: Chegaga – Todra Gorge
After this exceptional night, leave the desert and return to the road in M'hamid. Follow the Draa River to reach Zagora with its large palm groves and the famous "Timbuktu 52 days" sign. Continue through the village of N'Kob with its 50 kasbahs. Further on, Tazzarine welcomes you with its henna. Arrive in the evening at Tinghir, home to the charming Todra Valley with its impressive gorges. Dinner and overnight in an inn.
Day 8: Todra Gorge – Ouarzazate
After visiting the gorges, leave this valley to visit the Dades Valley, with magnificent gorges at its end. Take a track through the Valley of Roses, leading you to Boutaghar. Follow the M'Goun River to Kelaat M'Gouna to visit a rosewater distillery. Continue to the large palm grove of Skoura. Visit the Kasbah Amridil. Arrive in the evening in Ouarzazate and overnight in a beautiful riad.
Day 9: Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Visit Ouarzazate with its film studios and the Kasbah of Taourirt. Then visit the beautiful Fint oasis. Head north through the very beautiful village of Ait Ben Haddou. This fortified village on a hillside is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has been used as a backdrop for numerous films. Continue through the Ounila Valley to visit the Kasbah of Telouet. Cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass and arrive in the evening in Marrakech.
