4-Day Tour: Marrakech, Atlas Valleys, Desert, and More

Day 1: Marrakech, Ouarzazate, the Atlas Valleys, Zagora, Chegaga Dunes

Departure in the morning from Marrakech at 7:30 am towards Ouarzazate. The Tizi N'Tichka road is a winding mountain road, offering magnificent views of the valleys. In winter, the mountains are covered with snow, and the pass reaches an altitude of 2260 meters.

After crossing the pass, you will take a small road that will lead you to Télouet. In Télouet, you will visit the first kasbah, that of the Glaoui, who governed the region during the French protectorate. You will continue the road to reach the Ounila Valley, a magnificent valley lined with adobe villages and beautiful kasbahs. You will arrive in Ait Ben Haddou, the largest ksar classified by UNESCO. It has been used as a backdrop for major films such as "Lawrence of Arabia" and "The Jewel of the Nile".

Then, you will arrive in Ouarzazate, where you will visit the film studios and the Taourirt Kasbah, also classified by UNESCO. After this stop in the capital of cinema, you will continue on the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs" to cross the palm grove of Skoura. Further on, you will enter the superb Dadès Valley, where you will follow winding roads to reach the splendid gorges. It is in this magnificent valley that you will spend the night in a hostel.

Day 2: Dadès Valley – M'Hamid

After breakfast, you will leave this valley to enter another, the Todgha Valley. It is famous for its high cliffs and green palm groves. Then you will continue your journey south, through the town of Tinerhir, to reach the road of the 1000 Kasbahs, which crosses the Draa Valley. You will continue to the village of M'Hamid, known as the gateway to the Sahara. You will spend the night in a traditional Berber camp and sleep under the starry sky.

Day 3: M'Hamid – Chegaga Dunes

In the morning, you will head towards the spectacular Chegaga Dunes, the highest and widest dunes in the region. Along the way, you will pass through various desert landscapes and enjoy lunch in a palm grove. In the afternoon, you will reach the camp in the Chegaga Dunes, where you can ride camels and watch the sunset from the dunes. You will spend another night under the starry sky with a traditional Berber dinner and music.

Day 4: Chegaga Dunes – Marrakech

After breakfast, you will head to the dried-up Iriqui Lake, which can turn into a blooming garden after good rains. You will continue your journey to Foumz Guid and then to Tazenakht, known for its Berber carpets. You will visit a carpet cooperative before returning over the Tizi N'Tichka Pass to arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
